Refrigerator Facts
Each week you will be given a set of related addition and subtraction facts to study at home. These are called "Refrigerator Math Facts". You should practice them at home EVERY DAY! You will then take a test on these math facts on Friday (or the last day of the week). If you pass the test with 100% you will then move on to the next set of facts. If you do not pass with 100%, you will continue to study the same set of facts the following week until you master them. You will move on each week at your own pace until all facts have been mastered.
You will receive a small sheet of your weekly facts to study each Monday to hang on your refrigerator. You will also have a set of small flash cards on a ring that you will use to study your facts for the week. Each time you get a new set of math facts, new cards will be added to your ring. Please remember to return your fact cards on Monday so a new set can be put on your ring.
On weeks that we have only 3 or fewer days of school, you will not have a new set of Refrigerator Facts to study. This would be a great opportunity to review all of the facts you have already been presented with.
